Markos C. Generales
Markos Generales is a principal of the firm. Mr. Generales’ practice acts as outside general counsel in corporate, litigation, and estate planning matters for a holistic approach to clients’ legal needs. His corporate practice covers clients through the complete lifecycle of a business, from formation, to growth strategies, corporate governance, preparation for sale of the company, and finally, the M&A sale process.
Mr. Generales began his legal career at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, an international AmLaw A-List firm. At Akin Gump, Mr. Generales practiced as a general litigator with specialties in class actions and congressional investigations, working on high stakes and extremely sensitive cases with national and global impact. As only a first-year attorney, Mr. Generales provided in person lectures to Akin Gump’s institutional clients on corporate governance practices and strategies to avoid litigation.
Mr. Generales’ broad litigation practice assists clients with anything from high stakes class actions, class action and single plaintiff employment matters, shareholder disputes, and commercial transactions. As a litigator with extensive mediation experience, Mr. Generales approaches litigation with an eye for efficient results. However, Mr. Generales does not shy away from trial if needed to protect his clients’ interests, and has secured favorable trial verdicts when opposing counsel refused reasonable settlement offers.
