Sean Y. Ma
Mr. Ma is a Principal at the firm. He received his B.A. in Journalism from the University of Arizona and his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law where he served the Journal of Climate and Energy Law and graduated with a concentration in intellectual property. During law school, Mr. Ma spent summers as a corporate counsel intern in the legal, ethics, and compliance department of a major healthcare and pharmaceutical company and as a law clerk at an art and entertainment licensing agency assisting with business, trademark, and copyright litigation in state and federal courts.
Mr. Ma is admitted to the State Bars of California and Massachusetts, along with the federal Central District of California. He has litigated a wide range of commercial and insurance-related matters in state and federal courts, including work on appeals in the 9th Circuit, the Federal Circuit, and the California Court of Appeals. His experience includes matters contesting fraud, personal injury, premises liability, unfair competition, business ownership and partnership disputes, intellectual property infringement, and landlord-tenant issues. He has also participated in ADR forums, including private mediation and arbitration on behalf of Fortune 500 companies and individuals.
His current practice area focuses on insurance defense, specifically automobile accident defense.
