His engineering career spanned diverse industries, including rubber seals and semiconductors. Despite his success in engineering, Sion always longed for a higher education. A pivotal undergraduate class mentioning patent law sparked his interest in pursuing a legal career.

After gaining practical engineering experience, Sion pursued his legal studies at Santa Clara University School of Law. He was drawn to its renowned Intellectual Property program, which is consistently ranked among the best in the country. He thrived in courses like Civil Procedure and Professional Responsibility, which redirected his legal interest toward litigation.

Sion’s commitment to his studies was matched by his dedication to his commuting style, navigating the roads to law school exclusively by motorcycle. This dedication reflects his energetic approach to both his legal practice and his personal interests.
