Kevin J. Stack
Kevin J. Stack is a director of Knapp Petersen & Clarke, where he has practiced since its inception in 1981. Mr. Stack has over 34 years experience as a lawyer and has conducted trials to verdict in more than 40 cases. He has served as national and international counsel in multidistrict mass tort litigation. Mr. Stack’s practice areas include product liability, business litigation, insurance, general litigation, real estate, professional malpractice, appellate work, and auditing.
Mr. Stack received his bachelor of arts degree cum laude in 1973 from the University of California at Los Angeles. He graduated cum laude from Loyola University School of Law in 1976 and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1976. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central, Northern, and Southern Districts of California, the Northern District of Illinois, the Seventh and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Stack has participated in hundreds of cases in which attorney fees are presented as an issue in litigation. He has participated both as counsel and as an expert witness in litigation concerning attorney fees. Mr. Stack has also served as a settlement officer and judicial referee for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in matters involving attorney fee issues. He has lectured on procedural, litigation, and attorney fee issues to community and professional groups.
